This is by Senegalese painter Awa Ndiaye.  Multiple expositions in Senegal and Europe.

 "I paint on the theme of the woman tied to the child, on different subjects.  I am inspired by myself as a woman, educator, and mother.  I was also raised by an adoptive aunt from the age of two.  I knew my mother at the age of 15.  I was born into a non-artist family.  I love art; it is my passion.

I paint several subjects, like motherly love, sexual mutilation, street children, and surrogate and adoptive mothers.  I prefer this latter subject.  The adoptive mother is the one who carries, educates and considers a child as their own.  So it is a real mother for me."
